DC Fast Charging Stations Overview

This DC fast charging stations is a popular product from TKT EV Solution. It has two exterior designs. It has two outlets that can charge two electric vehicles at the same time at high speed.

Its charging modules are modular in design. The advantage of this design is that the charging power can be upgraded in the future. Type 1: Each charging module has a power of 30 kW. 4 modules make up 120 kW and 6 modules make up 180 kW. Type 2: 40 kW per charging module, 4 modules of 160 kW and 6 modules of 240 kW.

Let me give you an example to understand the concept of 120kw. Suppose you have a regular passenger car. Its usual 100km electricity consumption is 10 degrees (kwh). For ease of calculation, let’s disregard the conversion rate. A DC 120kw EV charger will charge 120kwh in 1 hour. This is the equivalent of adding 1200 kilometers of range to your electric car. If 2 cars are charging at the same time, the range is halved.

Assuming you are an electric bus, which typically consumes about 100 kWh of electricity per 100 km. A DC 240kw EV charger charges 240kwh in 1 hour, which is equivalent to adding 240km of range to your electric bus.

DC Fast Charging Station, is a fixed installation, connected to the AC power grid power supply device. What is the difference between a DC fast charging stations and an AC fast charging stations?

The main difference between DC fast charging station and AC fast charging station is reflected in charging speed, equipment cost and usage scenarios.
A.
